GENERAL INFORMATION TO PARTICIPANTS

 

Shuttle reservation

Shuttles have been arranged between Zurich Airport and the Conference Site (Sunstar Hotel Grindelwald). Charges are at the participant's expense and will depend on the number of bookings. Please register bellow by indicating which shuttle you would like to book:

Poster Presentations

Posters will be exhibited on Monday 13th and Wednesday 15th during dedicated poster sessions. Participants are kindly requested to bring their own poster in A0 format (approximately 1189 x 841mm) during Registration on Sunday 12th, in the afternoon. Please make sure that content, particularly figure captions, are easily readable. At the start of each Poster Session, each Poster is briefly presented by the presenting author in the form of a 30sec./poster "Elevator Pitch".

Exhibitions

 Exhibition setup will take place on Sunday June 12th from 15h00 onwards. Exhibitors are kindly requested to remove all exhibit material by 18h30 on Wednesday June 15th.


 

 

 

 

 

 

Welcome to the website of the ISPM 2016! The iSPM conference is one of the running  conference series in the field of scanning probe microscopy, having been held for more than 20 years in different countries world wide. It is aimed at researchers working on the development of scanning probe microscope techniques as well as users of scanning probe microscopes from all scientific and industrial disciplines such as materials science, basic physics, life sciences, semiconductor industry and energy industry. This time the conference will take place in Grindelwald (canton Bern), from June 12th to 15th June 2016. The program will cover all areas of scanning probe microscopy including (but not limited to):

  1. Novel developments in SPM techniques: theory, instrumentation, and new imaging modes 
  2. SPM in biology and medicine
  3. Nano mechanical properties measurements
  4. SPM on graphene and other 2D materials
  5. STM and UHV AFM
  6. SPM for energy applications
  7. Multi frequency AFM
  8. SPM on liquid solid interfaces 
  9. Ultra high resolution SPM 
  10. SPM in education

In the heart of the Swiss Alps the ISPM 2016 offers an informal atmosphere for open communication, exchange of ideas, and networking activities.
